Campervan Access & Facilities

Boomtown has a well-organised campervan area called the Live-In Vehicle fields. You need a separate LIV ticket. Pitches are allocated on arrival, with options for campervans up to 6 metres and larger vehicles. The LIV area has its own toilets, showers, and a quieter atmosphere compared to the general camping fields. Because pitches are allocated as you arrive rather than pre-assigned, your arrival strategy matters: turn up early in the entry window and you will have more choice of ground and neighbours, while late arrivals take whatever is left. The Matterley Estate is a natural bowl, so pack levelling blocks and wheel chocks and expect to use them. There is no mains hookup in the LIV fields, so charge your leisure battery fully on the drive down and bring solar if you have it — four days of fridge, lights and phone charging adds up. Arrive with fresh water full and waste empty, and bring a water carrier so one person can fetch water on foot rather than breaking camp. The LIV fields are where people come back to sleep and reset, so keep music low at the van and keep your kit within your pitch — the quieter atmosphere is exactly why people pay for the ticket. A decent pair of earplugs still earns its place in the drawer, though, as the city itself runs late.
