Each converter publishes a price range — a starting price for their simplest build and a top-end price for a fully specified one. The median range above (£20,500 – £50,000) is the middle value of those starting and top-end prices across all 27converters in the sample. It is a market benchmark, not a quote: your own build will land somewhere within (or outside) a converter's range depending on base vehicle, layout, and specification.

Methodology
- Data source: the published price ranges and lead times of active, vetted campervan converters listed on The Camper Directory.
- Exclusions: converters without published prices, and obvious outliers (minimum prices under £1,000 or maximum prices over £150,000) are excluded.
- Region grouping: converters are grouped into standard UK regions by county — the same groupings used across our converter location pages. Regional rows appear only where at least five converters report prices.
- Rounding: all £ figures are rounded to the nearest £100; lead times to one decimal place.
- Refresh cadence: the index recomputes from the live database at most every 24 hours. This edition: Q3 2026, last updated 15 July 2026.
